NeurodiversitY Articles

Thoughts, reflections, psychoeducation, and lived experience through a neurodiversity-informed lens

This section contains a collection of reflections, articles, and psychoeducational pieces exploring neurodiversity, attachment, nervous system regulation, relationships, education, masking, parenting, and emotional wellbeing.


Some pieces are written from a therapeutic perspective. Others are shaped through lived experience, advocacy, professional reflection, and observations from working within relational and trauma-informed spaces.


Many neurodivergent individuals spend years attempting to understand themselves through labels such as:

  • anxious
  • difficult
  • sensitive
  • lazy
  • dramatic
  • too emotional
  • disorganised
  • “too much”


Often without recognising the role that misunderstanding, masking, sensory overwhelm, attachment experiences, and chronic nervous system stress may have played throughout their lives.


The articles within this space aim to move beyond simplistic narratives and instead explore neurodiversity with curiosity, compassion, nuance, and honesty.
